*CHICAGO ILLINOIS DMV* do they accept the i751 extension letter to renew drivers licenses/state ids?

My wife tried to renew her drivers permit and apply for a state id with her expired GC and extension letter at the Wheaton location but they wouldnt accept the document. I called the state DMV and they said it depends on the location on whether they will accept the document or not. Does anyone know which Illinois location will accept the I751 extension letter?

Hey! I'm wondering if you guys ever figured this out? I actually just moved to Wheaton and need to go to the DMV to renew my license soon with the i-751 extension. Please let me know! The dmvs in the city gave me a really hard time getting my license to begin with

Go to the DMV in Schaumburg. We went to the Wheaton DMV at first but they didnt accept the extension letter. Go to the Schaumburg DMV

Thank you so much! Fingers crossed Schaumburg is still doing things the same way 1 1/2 years later!
