Good luck is all I can say.  We got approved through USCIS and NVC and my husband had his interview in less than one year from filing and we were put in administrative processing with no reason.  The application still has not come back to USCIS and it's been over 60 days.  I had to file another type of form today to get my records.  When I visit my husband next month, we will file the same form for him.

My husband is from Morocco and had his interview in Casablanca in July 2018.  We filed for visitor visa last December 2017; but it was refused due to our immigration paperwork in process.  All the immigration officer told him was the application was being returned to USCIS and for him to call there and find the reasoning.  It's a crock of ####### as we were married in Morocco... We have had four visits in Morocco and I am planning my fifth next month.  We have joint accounts, etc.  I am not quite sure what they are looking for or the reason as they did not give any reasons.  NVC and USCIS has been more than helpful in this situation and they have been very patient with my questions.

USCIS will send you a letter also the report of why immigration officer refused him, you have to respond with more evidence for reaffirmation then they will send back the file to US embassy for another interview, its going to take some time for that, did you marry first time you met in person ? after you married did you apply right away ? my wife is living with me in Morocco since 2015 and she still here with me, we did not marry first time she came til the second time, did your husband answer all questions good ?

Yes.  There's no tracking of the application being returned as they say.  We did marry in Morocco and yes, our first meet; but we knew that we wanted to be married and spoke of it before visit.  We were married mid July and applied last August.  I wish I could have stayed as I would have; but I have a 12 year daughter that cannot be there with me at the moment.  We do plan on living in Morocco once she is grown and the officer just mocked my husband when he answered some of his questions.  Yes, he answered all questions good and honest from the heart.

I have spoken with USCIS and they are advising as to what paperwork that i need to find out why the application has not been sent back yet.  We had all of our paperwork in order from the beginning.  NVC only requested one document when it was sent there.  I am a business manager so attention to detail is a big part of my job.  The whole application was very much in order as many of the suggestions online.

I have emailed the consulate and followed all directions.  They are negligent in providing an explanation.  USCIS informed to file a g639 with no initial cost.  I am the petitioner and in beginning, I offered to meet with them, if needed.  When they did respond, it was "we do not meet with the spouses..."  Why not?  If there are questions, they can see first hand our interaction with one another.   As others have seen, it's like we have known each other our whole lives :)

I really don't want to be negative in your situation as I really do wish you the best.  Just be ready for anything is all I can say.

Unfortunately a lot of people who get married on their first visit in Morocco have a lot of difficulty getting approved or getting through administrative processing. It would not be customary to marry someone in the US the first time you met them. You wouldn't visit several times without them meeting your child either. (I am Muslim so I understand what you mean about not "dating" but you still rarely marry the first time)

I'm NOT criticizing for one moment - so please don't think I am. I am not judging you or your relationship or anything, I am only saying what I have seen by being a member of VJ and several Moroccan visa FB groups for several years now.

You should be more likely to finally get approved if you submit lots of evidence of visits 2, 3, and 4, which happened after your initial petition was submitted.  If you didn't submit evidence of those 3 visits that happened after the petition was sent (you could have done this at the NVC stage), then the CO did not have it and probably made the decision to put your case into AP before the interview because of marrying on the first time you met.  If the CO only knew about the one and only time you met in person, and that was the visit when you got married, that would be a big problem.  At the interview, did the CO ask your spouse for more evidence of later visits, seeing each other more times after the first, marriage visit?  Time spent together seems to be very important in places like Morocco where there is high fraud.  So spend more time together, submit all the evidence of the visits as they are requesting, and hope for the best!
