Getting married in the US before returning to home country. (split)

I would appreciate any and all advice! I’m in a similar situation:

I am a USC. My fiancé is currently visiting me in the USA from abroad on a B-2 tourist visa. He entered the country with the intention of visiting for a month or two. We had also discussed the possibility of a K-1 later on, but now we are thinking of getting married while he’s here and he will still leave before his I-94 date (tentatively marry after he’s been here 4 months and leaves before his 6-month stay expires). We will file for CR-1 after he departs. We decided this might be better than a K-1 because it’s more cost effective for him to be in his country at home and working rather than being here and adjusting status without employment authorization for ~4 months (even tho financially I could support that but we rather not do it). He was also worried about not being able to leave the USA pending AOS in case something happened with his parents at home. In this case, he can be home. Waiting approval is not an issue as this would be just a tad longer than a K-1. We’ve waited this long already, we’ve been together 2 years. And getting married now while he’s here establishes a bond we have been wanting to become a family.

What I’m concerned about is whether he would be able to re-visit the USA on his B-2 after the I-130 is filed and pending.

Love all your advice on here, thanks!
