My PD date is also Sept 20th but couldn't submit an inquiry. So, I called the USCIS today and they told me that my case is still under normal processing  because the estimate time for case inquiry is 8.5 months. our case still on 8 months so we still three more weeks before we can submit an inquiry.

Lol ok so the USCIS site is even more of a waste of space than I thought. The only useful thing about it is to know when your case is outside of normal processing time and they can't even get that right.

(I'm a little bitter at USCIS if you can't tell :P )

Even if the dates for priority dates for case processing as long as it’s still within the time frame of 8.5 months you won’t be able to make an inquiry. And if you tried calling they’ll tell you to wait until it’s more than 8.5 months. My pd is 9/14/18 and still no updated😔 I’m hoping soon🙏🙏🙏🙏

It's just a regular status update. Nothing to worry about, hopefully you hear some news soon.

It's been 263 days now since my NOA1.  Every day I refresh that page 4, 5, 6 times, and every day I have a little sigh and sadness when I see "Your case was received" and my heart breaks, just a little, a little each time.  I'm wondering what I did wrong.  Is there something in my history, even though I have nothing more than a 20-year-old speeding ticket in my "criminal" past?  My wife's, whose worst deed was getting a public scolding from officers for underage drinking 25 years ago?  Is somebody mad at Canada for some reason?  Did someone read our letter and look at our pictures and just *not believe* that I love my wife more than I have anyone else, *not believe* that I'd die for my stepson without a moment's hesitation?  I don't understand.  I just want to be with them, every evening, to make dinner together and play with the dog and read a book and go to bed together.  I don't want to steal anyone's job, hell, I'll still be working in Canada!  I don't want to take up too much space.  I don't want to be a drain on anything.  I already have paid taxes, and I'm not even a LPR yet!  I don't want to take, I just want to give.  I want to be together.

As everyone in this group gets closer to the NVC, I made a list of documents needed so you guys can prepare. NVC is reviewing documents in two business days. That means the quicker you scan and upload you documents, the quicker your interview will be scheduled. The first step at NVC is to make the payments once case number is assigned: $325 and $120.

The IV application and requested documents will available 2 to 3 business days after payment is entered.

For the IV application, you will need the beneficiary's address history from the age of 16 and school information (high school and above). So get that ready.

The following documents are needed:

Civil Documents:

Beneficiary birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce papers (if any), beneficiary passport picture, and police certificate for any country lived over 6 months (not including USA).

AOS Documents:

Sponsor: I-864, 2018 tax transcript, and proof of domicile (if your physical address is not in the US).

Joint-Sponsor: I-864, proof of U.S. Status (passport, birth certificate, certificate of naturalization, green card), proof of U.S. Domicile (lease, mortgage, utility bill, car re gistration, voter registration, etc.),  and 2018 tax transcript.

Good luck to everyone, and hope this helps.

thats great.

We're not quite as far as you (245 days) but I'm also from Canada and I feel everything you're saying here, especially the wondering if we did something wrong or there's something in our pasts. I'm checking for our approval constantly and it's just making me more and more depressed. It's so frustrating seeing people with PD dates a month later than ours getting approved, and people from Potomac that filed in September already waiting for their interviews. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be at Nebraska.

I thought being from Canada would be helpful because at least I can visit easily but instead it just breaks my heart more every time I have to leave.

Me too mate.  I'm thinking of heading down there tonight because I'm so down but I really don't want to push the number of days I'm over the border, and I'm going to be down for the Memorial Day Weekend anyway.  I know I have it good compared to people who can't visit often but it's also so hard when I know my wife and my boy and dog (and properly comfy bed that's not got an IKEA mattress on it haha) are like 20 miles away and I can't go or shouldn't go.  Here, have a hug 🤗

Do it! It'll only tack another day on if you're already coming down for memorial day weekend and you'll avoid the traffic... I'll stop being a bad influence now haha.
