Hi there!

Its been almost 21 months now that I didn’t receive my green card. I live in Queens NYC my husband filled the petition I-130 I-485 I-765.

Biometrics March 24,2017

EAD arroved May 25,2017

Interview was Dec 11,2017

after the interview the adjudicator hand us a paper stating reason for continuance your case is being held for review

January 12,2018 notice of action form I-797 case type I-130 petition for Alien relative approved

up until now my green card is not yet here. My field office is in National Benefit Center Lees Summit Mo.

I tried to renew my Ead because it already expired but they didn’t renew it I did not receive anything in mail and no green card until now.

Can somebody help me understand this? Does anyone in here experience this situation and how long did it took you to get your GC?

National Benefits Center is not a field office. It's a processing center for all marriage-based adjustment of status cases. That's where our EAD/AP combo cards come from. Our files sit there until our interview is scheduled. After that, it goes to the field office for the zip code we live in.

Have you made any INFOPASS appointments? Did you contact your senator and/or the ombudsman? Sometimes, they take some time after the interview to approve. But it's almost been one year for you, which is really long.

Thank you so much for responsding!

Yes I already contact our Congresswomans office and will send all the paperworks they want from me to further assist my case hopefully this time it can trigger my delayed case. I’m really trying to get an INFOPASS appointment but its very hard to get in any advice how to get it a slot?

Ive been calling the uscis contact number as well but seems they didn’t really know whats going on just frustrating and very disappointing.

Don't bother calling the USCIS number. When you call that number, you are NOT calling your local office. The customer service people are somewhere else entirely. They don't have your file and they cannot do anything because only the IO who interviewed you and the IO's supervisor can finish your case now.

As for the INFOPASS, I've never done it myself. But I heard if you wait until midnight or in the very early morning hours (6 AM or so), it's easier to get an appointment. Good luck.

Have you tried in doing a walk-in at your local uscis office? Some offices accept walk-ins especially if you make it when they open in the morning. Once I did an early walk-in to do a biometrics and they let me do it before the scheduled date.

Unless you are too far from the office, it worth a try. If they don't allow you, then keep trying getting an appointment.
