Hi guys! I just became a US Citizen this morning, so this afternoon, I called USCIS to upgrade my profile from F2A to CR1. She said USCIS is going to send me an notice email that I requested, but I forgot to ask her when. Do you guys know when USCIS send me an notice email? Thank you so much!

I am at CSC. I did not get a mail letter, an email. If you see my prevous post on thread, you can see SR completed under the old my uscis case status

What is SR? So you haven’t got email & mail?

It takes me 38 days to upgrade the petition and i send them all documents through fax. I didn’t get any email about upgrade i called the uscis and representative not able to tell my status. When i talked to supervisor he told me my petition was upgraded to IR from F2A. Mine was on CSC they take so long yo approve and send to NVC as well.

Thanks, that helps a lot. It took me few days to upgrade. Maybe my process might be 38 days shorter than yours. I wasted 2 wks, just waiting for my mailed docs reply. So I called.

Yes I did get confirmation it was upgraded. Got an email on 04/26/2019.

Congressman cannot expedite, they can request to expedite if it meets criteria. They can help move things along tough.

I went bananas I contacted:

  1. Field Office Director via email (didn't get bounce back or vacation reply yay!)
  2. Congressman
  3. Senator
  4. Ombudsman.

Yea, Congress office wasn’t even requesting to expedite. She said she sent inquiry in status. I told her I already know that status. Next wk I will ask her what is that criteria to meet. Don’t you think we meet that expedite criteria?

SR = Service request.

I mailed the letter with copy the next day after naturalization and then 4 days later, I did a chat with USCIS via the website and requested to upgraded it there.

The request to upgrade generated a service request and that was completed in 3-4 days.

Check you case status in the old system:

Hi Everyone,

I am in a similar situation. I became a U.S. Citizen on April 17th 2019, upgraded pending I-130  (PD October 4 2017) for my spouse the same day and received an email on April 24th. However, there have not been any changes/updates to the case and it only says "On October 4, 2017, we received your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number WACXXXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case".

Does it show the upgrade on your case history for all of you guys?

Track your case on the old system: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do?appReceiptNum=

There it should show below on case updates

Login and below it should be a table that says Case History and Next steps.

I would recommend reading the entire thread from starting, you will likely get answers to all questions

See example here

In honor of being 1 year anniversary of my wife's PD, I went ape mode and faxed, California center, both my senators and congressman.

I had submitted a request for case outside of normal processing time and that got a reply as per online case history but I have yet to receive said response
