Hello,

I have a question on a reaffirmed case. I file I130 for my husband 2014, He had his interview on June 2015 and given 221g. They kept us on AP for a year and return to USCIS.On July 2016 we received NOIR and denied again Sept 2016. The lawyer I had before he didn’t do a good job of putting our case together, for that reason we were denied. I hired a different lawyer she files the I290B Motion to Reopen. She did a great job on our case we were reaffirmed last year January 2017 we were so happy about our reaffirmed. The case was sent back to the consulate in Sri Lanka for a second Interview. The embassy received our reaffirmed case February 2017 we were back on AP whole year no movement at all until this year the CEAC says “expiring soon” The lawyer email the consular let them know what's going on, consulate email the lawyer have my husband pick up the package and schedule him for second interview March of this year. Before the interview, he had to do another medical exam and police clearance and after the interview, we were back on AP again and kept his passport. I'm so confused we were on AP for a year and after the second interview AP again NO VISA😞 this is so depressing and heart-aching.

Strange NVC did not ask a Senegal man to update his DS 260

he got new interview scheduled in July and recd visa August 28th

the USC needs to start emailing the embassy every week/ may not get a response but it does apply some pressure /to wait this long is just not right

Our ds 260 has no option for us to update it.   I just reprinted the confirmation page to bring to our second interview.   It does have an expiry on it for April 2019 so when someone is asked to update it could be because it has expired.   My reaffirmed case moved pretty quick I've seen a lot of Ghana cases who have a much longer wait.

My reaffirmed case has been sent to US embassy here in Accra, Ghana since May 03 2018 and no word since from embassy whether they have  received the packet or not or nothing about our second interview.

I want to know do we need to update ds260 form before consulate contact us?

Or wlmy wife in US and I here in Ghana have to wait till have a call from embassy or consulate?

Pls I have tried calling embassy here in Ghana and no response.

Congrats on your reaffirmed case!  Hopefully you'll here something soon!  Good luck!

Hmm have patience

Some of us waited much longer like a year and eight months before contacted and reaffirmed therefore have patience but keep pushing for answers because that helps tho you need to be told if embassy sent back case finally to USCIS which you wait till have a NOIR for reaffirmation hopefully.

Have patience but keep pushing for answers.

Good luck

Check ceac for your last update on ur case and whether it is Exp.. or Ap. When you call the Embassy an agent will not pick right away you will have to follow the computerized instructions to speak to an agent to inquire about your case whether they have received it or not

Oh okay then keep calling them till they give u an update or check online because usually when the embassy updates ur case in their system status changes from Expiring soon to Ap
