Question about Application Type or Filing Category

I entered the US on a K1 and married my fiance 2 weeks after arrival. I'm currently working on my I-485 for AOS. For Part 2. Application Type or Filing Category, 1a. Family-based , what do I select? I'm not sure if I would choose: Immediate relative of a US citizen, Other relative under the family based preference category or person admitted to the US as a fiance? I'd like to select option 3 because I came in on a k1 but I'm not sure if I would select the other because I'm his wife now, no longer his fiance. Hmmmmmm..... Any advice?

You were admitted as k1. That’s it.

 

I would check the form samples on vj, they have all of these on it.

Admitted as K-1 AND married within 90 days* (both are required to choose that option :P )

Thanks so much for this! I haven't been able to find this particular answer. For place of last arrival into the United States (Question 19), I cleared US customs and immigration in Vancouver, Canada. This is where they processed my K1 paperwork. I then continued on my journey to Honolulu. There I just picked up my bags....no customs obviously. Would I still select Vancouver?

Yes, a preclearance location can be a POE even if it is outside the US.

It's referring to at ANY point.

I would note that a K-1 is not an immigrant visa, though. So just having applied for a K-1 and other non-immigrant visas would still be a "no".

I have few more questions about this form, if anyone can answer them, thanks in advance!!!!

 

Part 1, Question 11 USCIS Online account Number. is that the WAC# from 129f form??

Part 2, Question 2-9 he will be my husband, should i be checking 'no" and leave everything blank?

Part 5, Question 3: does this include our recent marriage after entering on a K1 visa? (I put 1 as this is my first and only marriage)

Part 5, Question 5 A-Number: I am the US Citizen by naturalization, my A# is only 7 digits, do i need to add 00 after the letter A to make it 9 digit?

 

AOS/EAD/AP ->: 11/29/18 - NOA1: 12/04/18

Biometric NOA:  12/14/18  Biometric Appt: 12/26/18

Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview: 1/16/19
