If you have applied for US Visa and received 221g Administrative Processing for your case, you would have checked your visa status on CEAC website. When you check the status, you used to see status of “Administrative processing”, but that would have changed to “refused” from March 3, 2020. Many users have reported and its verified as well that most of the 221g Cases status has changed to “Refused”, even when there was no real update on their ‘Case Last Updated Date’ or anything has changed. One key thing to note is the text under it has changed. It reads like below now.

“A U.S. Consular Officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application. For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General <Consulate name>”

Pay close attention to the bold text, it basically tells that, if you were given Administrative processing, then it will be processed in administrative processing.

Thank you for this info it gives me a glimpse of hope on our situation..

Hi all,

I'm in the process of tracking my fiancee's visa and the tracking information is a bit weak compared to what I am use too in the US.  It doesn't tell me a whole lot of information and doesn't even display the address or person it is sending too.  So I'm concerned with the shipment of her approved Passport.  Is this normal?

My fiancé wasn’t given any form and no email or anything yet. He didn’t ask for anything else at the interview and he kept the passport.

Same situation here no form given or additional documents asked. Interview went well thats why I was shocked with the refused status. Our case have been AP then refused on March 3 with those text indicated from the above post.

Yes this is normal. Call your local 2go off to determine if the have received the package from USEM. 2go is pretty good at getting the packages to their owners.

For now then just be patient and keeping checking CEAC status daily  (don't drive yourself nuts by checking hourly  ;)  )

Welcome to the Philippines!   Consider yourself lucky that there is any tracking at all.     2GO will text.    Be patient

Hi Hank,

She did receive a text the other day which made it sound like it was being delivered really soon (see text below).  However, the tracking system says otherwise haha.  The information is just very misleading.  Like you said....welcome to the Philippines.

Thanks Greenbaum.  I'm hoping 2GO does get it to her soon without any hassles or mandatory pickups.

Like said, you are lucky to even find tracking with 2GO, being accurate is another question.

If you got a text then be prepared,  if you scheduled home delivery then don't wander away too far.  ;)   Might be the next day  .. happens.

Oh ya - Welcome to the Philippines ... it is always more fun in the Philippines.

That's a good sign. Now sit back and take it easy and continue to follow your status on CEAC till "issued" then you can :dance::dance:

Just to update on my husband's case. Yesterday 3/9/20 his case went from Refused to Ready and then today 3/10/20 his case was finally issued. It has been a week of anxiety for both of us after the whole refused status on his ceac. I am hoping and praying for those who are waiting to have their visas issued soon and May the Lord guard your hearts and minds with His peace which surpasses all understanding in the name of Jesus, Amen. God bless!
