When they are ready to issue a visa, it should change to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application"; at that time, you  will know that you are a few days away from getting it. It would go from "Immigrant Visa Application" to "Nonimmigrant Visa Application" and  go to "Ready" ==> "Administrative Processing" ==>> "Issued".

Sometimes, it might skip "Administrative Processing" and go from "Ready" to "Issued".

Just a little more patience is needed.

Hi Greenbaun I also had question my spouse  has her interview February 11 , 2020 the interview went smooth and the offficer told her you have your visa in two weeks the status it started with refused then it went to ready then it went administrative processing finally it just to changed to Issued. I’m glad now my question how it usual take the embassy to send you a email to come pick your passport ??

You don't pick up the passport,  the visa package is shipped by 2GO.

There is info for tracking your visa package at the bottom of this page  https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

Approval doesn't happen at the interview, actual approval doesn't happen until later, watch CEAC for ISSUED status <  that is approval.

Many are experiencing the REFUSED status even though the embassy did not request additional documents.   Just to cover all bases, check your email SPAM folder for anything from the embassy.

After that be patient and check your CEAC status daily for it to change to ISSUED

Thanks. About had a heart attack when I saw that Refused.   She was only given papers on how to call 911 and such in America if she ever needed help.

Does she have CFO-GCP seminar completed?

Can’t do that without her passport

You can complete GCP without the passport in hand and without the visa.

Not a good feeling seeing Refused.  We have our newborns citizenship interview Monday morning and were so happy with how everything was going.

Make sure to get the little one their Philippine passport along with the U.S. passport

If you have applied for US Visa and received 221g Administrative Processing for your case, you would have checked your visa status on CEAC website. When you check the status, you used to see status of “Administrative processing”, but that would have changed to “refused” from March 3, 2020. Many users have reported and its verified as well that most of the 221g Cases status has changed to “Refused”, even when there was no real update on their ‘Case Last Updated Date’ or anything has changed. One key thing to note is the text under it has changed. It reads like below now.

“A U.S. Consular Officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application. For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General <Consulate name>”

Pay close attention to the bold text, it basically tells that, if you were given Administrative processing, then it will be processed in administrative processing.
