How long for Sputum test result??

I would like to know How long does it takes to get Sputum test results please  . Exactly 8 weeks or over 8 weeks?

It's generally 8 weeks for a clean result, although it can be extended based on what they see. If positive for TB, they will let you know at that time (not at the end of 8 weeks).

I think it is 8 weeks. I'm actually waiting to call St Lukes. Like everybody else, it's been long tiring days and sleepless nights until Oct 10th. I'm really hoping I'm not one of those cases where they couldn't reach the phone numbers provided so they just wait for you to call before actually telling you the bad news. 

 

On the positive side, I made sure to keep my lines open so I'll never miss their call. I also double checked my phone number on that form they asked me to sign. So here I am trying to survive another couple weeks hoping and praying I get no calls from St Lukes. 

 

Hopfully we all get that "Negative Culture results". Right? I didn't know that I'll be living an 8 weeks of life praying and hoping just for that day, where the only word I want to hear is "Negative". Lol

Oh wow I hope u won’t get any bad news then. But maybe they would have emailed u if they can’t get to u. I pray yours will be negative.

Yesterday was my 8 weeks and I called this morning and was told they received my results sometime this month but it’s not completed as yet and will call me when it is. Smh I hope it won’t take long.

Really? They told you the results were not ready yet even if its already past your 8th week?

Yep. She only said the result is in but not yet completed and she will send it to the embassy wen it is .I’m not worried about it though it was for other reason why I did the Sputum test. Ntg was shown on the X-ray. But I read some where that the 3 days I give Sputum shouldn’t be count in the 2 months those are just collection days so if that’s the case then 28 would have make 2 months for me. 

They already did canceled the interview for me I’m not sure if I’m the one to reschedule it.
