Check with the airline. My wife requested assistance for her 71 yr old mother who had never traveled alone before when she came to visit us 1 month ago, but the airline didn't provide such services for their customers. She managed alright despite having no english skills.

Really depends if he needs it... if he fluent in English and comfortable? Maybe you yourself are just being overly worries?

It's natural to be concerned about your sons welfare and safety. But he is an adult now and the skills that you taught him will go along way. Mom, it's time to ease up and show him the way but don't pick him up and carry him. Those days are over.

Teach him about the signs for the gates that his planes will leave from and how to locate the flight boards within the airport. Teach him to ask airline employee's when he is unsure. And there is always an information counter in the airports as well as security. He should know whom to ask for help. I am sure there are some youtube videos that you could find for him to watch to learn.
