Online is quick n hasselfree

Wen you will  opt for netbanking..it will give you unique account no....use tht to register in ur bank account as benificiary account no..then u can tranfer fund into that account and after one day your reciept no. Will automatically pop up in ur us travel doc site

Once your payment is done you will just get a bank notification and bank email that the amount has been deducted but nothing from the Consulate, and after 6-8 hours it automatically gets updated in the portal and it shows the receipt at the left hand side and then you can view the dates for booking biometrics and interview

Thank you both! I will see what works best for us! Does it matter who pays the visa fee? If it's online I would think not...

Only indian bank account holder can pay online fee...bcz thy accept only  indian currency through net banking

Expect a date at least 40 days from the day you pay the fees.

@Knome, when I called to schedule for interview they asked if k1 is immigrant visa  or non immigrant .. it’s immigrant right ?

Yes it's immigrant though at places it is stated as non immigrant  but everywhere during processing you have to select it as immigrant, I selected immigrant while scheduling online

What is the best way to get in contact with the Mumbai Consulate? Email? Phone? Does anyone have a preferred line of contact? We haven't received our packets yet. Not that I haven't seen them from here of course
