@A_R Hello, I filled and submitted a request on CMM website on 21st of December, and still no update, I have called them multiple times and sent emails, they keep telling me wait for an update, my interview is on the 7th of February, I am going to call them last time tomorrow and either go for Chennai or Mumbai after that, what's the process of medical examination, do they the reports on the same day?

Chennai site says they usually give results in two days if everything is normal

Can anyone please help me. I emailed Mumbai consulate, regarding not receiving  packet 4. This is what they emailed me back.

 

"Thank you for your inquiry. We have only received your fiancee's case electronically at our Mumbai Post. However, we are still awaiting the physical file. We will get in touch with her, once we are in receipt of the physical file."

 

My file was delivered on December 31st 2018, tracked through DHL.

Your to early for the scheduling of the interview date. Once they have your physical file and have checked you in and set your record on CEAC to "ready" they will not send you anything.

 

If you look through this thread, I have posted the links to a copy of the P3 and other useful links. I'm depending on you to do some of the heavy lifting.

@Greenbaum, was wondering if there’s a way to search up specific topics ? For example I remember seeing a post on DHL service tracker somewhere but don’t remember where. Tried searching on the search bar but didn’t bring up anything. Is there any other way I could pull up specific topics discussed ? TIA

Thankyou ... @Greenbaumcan I bother you with another question please ? My fiancé applied for student visa in 1989 , consulate stamped application received but wanted more documents so he never followed through. So when we filled Ds160 we answered no to the question previous visa denial ? Should he had answered yes ? He was not denied nor accepted though. But he’s planning to explain this at interview if the same question is asked again. Do you think this way is fine or should we submit another Ds160 & say yes to visa denial question ?

do you have any documents to substantiate your claim? If so follow it. Otherwise you should bring this up at the interview with the CO and let them know that you are confused on how to answer that question.

He has his old passport with the stamp “application received “ on it. That’s the only document

He was never denied as you never completed the process so technically it's an abandon application. So answer no and you should be fine.

my fiancé completed her DS-160 without pic, assuming that is done at biometrics/fingerprints interview date

 

also, when creating new account on ustraveldocs. does she need to signup as immigrant or non-immigrant? for k1?

Not having a picture uploaded with the DS-160 will cause a delay. You will be turned away at the interview with a 221(g) and until you submit it properly you will be in limbo without a properly adjudicated visa.

 

Ustrveldocs I believe you will sign up as an immigrant but pay attention to the fees that will be the tip. Maybe someone who has recently completed this step will chime in and let us know.

I did same way ...thr was no where mentioned tht v need to upload a photo...that will b done at VAC biometric centre
