Oh today is boy #1's birthday. Hopefully his card made it to him in time. He's up in Fayetteville. He's coming home for turkey day. Boy # 2 will also be home but he will be here probably the day before turkey day and will stay until Sunday. Perks of working for the State :)

Did it love you long time?

Yup. It's still loving me. It's that full feeling that isn't quite heartburn.

Aside from the obvious of course...

Obvious-top notch beef, cheese, toasted bread. Sort of non-obvious - carmelized onions, damn good suite of spices.

Standard Caeser salad, but that goes extra good with a heavy sandwich like steak. Who needs fries in that situation.

EDIT: I ate it with my vegetarian friend and even he said it looked good.

Glad he's sorta ok.

Yes i hate LR. WE don't live there but are too close for comfort. I think I will pass on that draconian HOA

Expand

As well as can be expected, thanks. LR, man oh man, it seems to get worse all the time. Last year, rather in July 2016, I had friends up from NZ to stay for a couple of days. I worked with them both in NZ and they are great people, but the Husband is a train nut. He only flies here because there isn't any other way, but when he hits the country  it is trains all the way. I had to pick them up at the train station in dowtown LR at 0300, and I had to take them back a few days  later at the same time. Just didn't understand how inhospitable LR can be after dark.  It may have been the drug deal going on at a traffic light, or the car that tried to block us in on the narrow road that goes down to the station proper, but they got the idea.

Her HOA is major. No front doors of "different" colors. Everyone has to have one of those huge brick mailboxes, metal not allowed. No loose dogs, you have to have a fence, but no other fences than board privacy fences.  Painted, no plain wood allowed. Rubbish bins off the street by midday, and you have to keep them in your garage ut of sight. Pages of that stuff.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Oh yes the feeling even during the day is not welcoming there at all.

Very uptight. You never even see the neighbors. They come down the street, activate their garage doors, drive in and shut them, and you never see a living soul.  Creepy. The place was full of curtain twitchers too. Spring-loaded backsides, I used to see those people when I walked the dog. Peering out the windows at me around the blinds, looking to see what I was up to.

Strange thing, in those houses with garages with windows, they had to have curtains on them, it;'s the rule. Who the heck thought that one up?

I think I would have to get a job for that house. I'm not that picky I would prefer 5 bedrooms 6 would be good because I know at some point my inlaws will be moving in.

Something like that but with no covenants. They are just as bad as HOA.

Yes those ones. As the Hillbilly's brother has 4 kids and only a 2 bedroom house.

They left their house go. It was a fixer upper when they bought it. Now the roof has caved in at the back of the house and the floor is falling though in more than one spot.
