Sure why not...

Pics or it didn't happen.

---- RANT INCOMING ----

I had a customer come in to pay off his auto loan. He brought a cashier's check with him, so I called his bank to verify that the check is real, outstanding, and has no holds on it. Unfortunately, I called his bank branch and it was taking TOO DARN LONG to answer the phone, so I got transferred to their call center, and that's when he got so snippy and bratty. Did not understand why I had to verify the numbers on the small piece of paper in front of me, even after I explained several times that it was Standard Operating Procedure. Kept making snide comments about the company I work for, saying he didn't even know why he was involved with us in the first place (he had not-great credit, and the vehicle was older and had high miles, so no one else wanted to finance him for it). Had to LITERALLY bite my tongue so as not to go kungfu panda on him.

Finally got through to a teller, who verified the check as good with no holds, and all I hear from him is, "I COULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT." But like, that's not the darn procedure now, is it? Again, tongue-biting. He then went on to say that he issued a $ManyManyThousand cashier's check to the dealership, and drove off with a new vehicle, no verification of funds, like that would change anything of what I thought of him (I think he's scum, by this point). I just about had it with his snark by now, so I smiled and said, "They're not us, we want to make sure everything is straightened out the first---" and he responded with, "Good thing there aren't a lot of companies like you around, then." which I am positive was NOT a compliment. I ignored that remark, smiled, gave him his darn receipt and his darn title and thanked him for his patience, and his business.

Oh, and by the way, during the entire time I was on hold with his bank, he tried to call his branch too, and ALSO got transferred to the call center. I think he was just being an entitled jerk to be an entitled jerk. UGH.

I'm feeling like #######. I'm not making supper. They can eat leftovers.

I finally got the Hillbilly to see we need out of this place. We need to fix the kitchen, bathrooms and the spot where the fireplace was. I need to figure out what i'm doing to that wall now.

The only problem is he's thinking 10yrs from now. I'm thinking 1-3 yrs tops and that is only because I'd be teaching him how to fix these things. If I had the cash I'd be done all before spring. Well that is without his help :P

I'm going to start with our bathroom. That way it will be the smallest job and I won't want to kill him. Poor Hillbilly is not a handyman. I don't know why he bought a house that needed fixing.

He has been warned that I will not be getting another fixer upper.  I want newish, with very minimal work, cosmetic stuff only.

I also want far away from LR ok maybe not too far because he needs to drive to work. But I want away from all this bull. Plus if we go out from here we can get more bang for our buck.
