Yeah man!

Fishing season!

Hunting season!

I gotta go fishing now...

Catch me a salmon (or 3)

Hunt me some elk (or deer, I'm not picky)

I can stir-fry the ####### out of venison.

I feel a little odd about going back to Canada. Prolly cause hubs vetoed.  In return he is going to my work xmas party. He doesnt want to.

So i dont know what is is about my work but either i have to live up to some insanely high standard or else im useless and doing nothing.  Other people get a card on their 1 year anniversary, but not me.  Other people have allowances for having not finished training and get overtime to do it, but i help them out and get in trouble and have to explain every minute im working past 40 hours.  Im really frustrated. I can't get the training done, (at least they already gave me a raise) and im being tsked on left and right. I dont get it. Im really glad for a holiday.

I wonder of my depression is getting worse due to the time of the year.

Can you talk openly with management? You might be misreading things but if there is a problem it would give you both a chance to discuss?

(That's the optimistic side of me talking)

I have no real advice but have a (hug) anyway

I have similar issues at work but in my case I know it's because my direct supervisor is scared senior managers realize I can do her job better than her - and I could - and they know this...it's making for an uncomfortable environment because I don't want her job, I've told her this but she doesn't seem to believe me and keeps trying to minimize my contribution. It's sad as all it's done is highlight her immaturity to senior management :(

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real thing. Is getting a sunlight lamp an option for you, whether at work or at home? The lack of Vitamin D could be a contributing factor.

As for your work situation, I hope it works out. I'm a little overwhelmed at my job, too. 2 more weeks to my first anniversary here, and I have so much on my plate and never enough time to do it. Maybe it's because I'm currently on VJ... Hmmmmmm... 🤔

Either way, safe journey!

Colorado still gets a lot of sun during the winter.   Even here in Minnesota, we get enough winter sun to kind of make the SAD thing not a big deal.  Our local library does have one of those sun lamps that anyone can use, though.  I think it is generally more a problem further north, like in Canada or Scandinavia, where the angle of insolation is smaller.    Denver is on the same latitude as southern Italy after all.

Maybe it is just the stagnation and work frustration that are doing it?

So, I've been sick and busy on and off for 2 months and done nothing towards my capstone class in my major.  Now I have like 3 or 4 weeks to get it all done.  I'm pleasantly surprised at how quickly reviewing some of the classes is going, anything calc III or before I can do in my sleep.  However, I'm really trudging through these more advanced classes that I took years and years ago.  It hurts, a lot.   Aaaaaand I still haven't started my term paper that is due in less than 3 weeks.  I think it'll be fine because it is on mathematical physics, but I'm still sick, it isn't my only class, and this sucks.

I'm sorry you are feeling sick.

Unfortunately a side effect of working indoors is not getting enough sunlight.  10 hour shifts means I leave and arrive in the dark.  There are windows, thankfully, but it's been a gloomy fall so far.

Talk turkey with Management, si Niki-B. ma'am.  Sounds like a double standard (intentional or not) or that you're being used, boo man.  Wait until you come back, si ma'am.

And we still don't have a sandwich on our plate, get crackin' si P ma'am.

No i just work so hard to begin with that anything less seems like I'm slacking I think?  Ya know you give 110% but you can only do that for so long, so 100%, or a person walking around a corner at the wrong moment can look badly upon you even though it was seriously the only 30 seconds you haven't been busy!

I don't even think management realizes what they're doing to be honest.  They see bottom lines and dollar signs.  And it's not so much management as the equal footing staff.  It always hurts a little when you realize you're not as well liked as you had hoped, but it is what it is.  I will get over it, I always do.

These are both kick-butters, experience one observe the other we man.

We hope for your return from the wish-you-were-dead soon, si Nola-B. ma'am.

I started feeling a little better yesterday.  Then, night came and I had the worst sinus pain of my life.  It felt like I had broken a bone in my face or been hit by a baseball bat.  It was even radiating down to all my teeth in quadrant.  600 mg of ibuprofen, flonase, and benadryl later and I got some sleep.  I hope this isn't what Ontarkie feels like with her sinus issues.

Woke up this morning to mostly just a sore throat and my eyes crusted over.

In other news: It is the oldest one's celebration of her decade of life on earth today.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.
