I am not there yet! 

About 33 more days and I can hop on that plane that brings me over there...the ticket was expensive enough, and I’m going a very unexpected route...but hey...33 more days

That's why it is over here, in Poland. Last Sunday we had a voting. I always vote. Too bad the voter turnout is less than 55% 🙁 That makes me sad.

I voted always except once in Canada as well.  I didnt vote in one provincial election. But I had no idea what the campaigns were about and I am not a single party voter.  The US system weird me the heck out.

Our local elections aren't party based.  It has been a contentious school board race this year.  I went to the debate, I read their ads.  One of the candidates is really pissing me off.  He's new and put a lot of money into it, lawn signs, ads in the paper all the time etc.  However, I've yet to once hear him state any positions on anything.  It is just like "I'm a farmer and went to school here, vote for me."  That is apparently a common argument from the candidates, but at least the others had some substance. 

 

I have a bit of a problem, I watch all of the debates from gubernatorial to local representatives.  Depending on the year, I'm one of the people that votes to endorse candidates from a party.

 

I didn't vote in 2012 because it seemed like a hassle from abroad and I knew my state was going to go one way in the electoral college.
