I'd fly with my oldest, I'd fly with my youngest, but my middle child is a big old HELL NO.  He's 3.5 and I don't even want to bring him to the store down the street.  Travel does start to become cost prohibitive the more children you have.  

 

As aside to this, I recently discovered that the Troll (middle child) has only two volumes:  regular Danish loud (and yes Danish people are loud) and Viking Roar.  There is no off switch included in his model.  He does, however, come with a preset love of unicorns and battle.

So you know how we were talking about the myopia epidemic recently?  I was watching a marine bootcamp doc and the amount of people with glasses on is pretty shocking.  A lot of people must be wearing contacts in day to day life.

 

Tangentially related: my step-grandfather was exempted from WWII because he wore glasses. He still had to work on a base, but I wonder if that is a shift in policy.
