It has snowed 3 times already and we are supposed to get up to 8 inches tomorrow.

 

According to my husband, it is "too early" to have put on the snow tires.

My mother in law experienced snow for the first time in her life on Sunday as we traveled with friends to Silverton, Colorado. She was pretty excited about it.

The only time I miss snow is Christmas. I always get looked at weird and ppl say but you're Canadian. My reply back is Yes and I still haven't warmed up enough to miss it.

Culture finally came back from the vet. She has Staphylococcus intermedius, He has given me more prednisone, and a 30-day supply of  Chloramphenicol, one and a half tablets a day. 3 times a day. This is not going to go well. I can hide the prednisone in her dinner, but this stuff is not going to pass the sniff test. I don't know how, short of prying her jaws apart and heaving it down her throat I am going to get this into her.

I find it a bit concerning that I was instructed to wear gloves, and not to handle the pills otherwise, as I have to cut them in two.  :blink:

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
