The flu epidemic of 1Many1Many was arguably the worst health disaster of all time, sigh man.

 

This brings us back to a pleasanter memory, reminisce we man.

 

Mrs. T-B. had been here only a couple of months when we caught the Porcina (Swine Flu), sick we man.

It didn't hit us all that badly, no man.

As we were leaving the doctor, Mrs. T-B. asked us what it was, inquire she man.

"The Porcina, si man," we said matter-of-factly.

"WHAAAAAAT?!" she screamed.  "Do you have to go to the hospital?"

"No, man;" said we, "just bed-rest for a week."

 

Mrs. T-B. couldn't believe it and spent the rest of the day phoning Ecu in a panic, panicked she man.

(Everyone in Ecu was terrified of the Porcina to the point of hysteria, hysterical Ecus man.)

Mama-Mrs.-T-B. insisted on getting on the phone to jabber at us in Spanish, worried senior she man.

"Abadabadabadaba Porcina!  Abadabadabadaba enferme [sick]!  Abadabadabadaba!" said she.

"Soy un puerco [We are a pig]," said we.  "Oink oink oink."

Mama-Mrs.-T-B. laughed nervously, rattled she man.

 

By the end of the day, Mrs. T-B. had called all of her Many amigas, expensive international rates* man.

Without exception, they asked her, "Is he going to die, huh man?"
Without exception, she replied, "No -- I'm not that lucky, no man."

 

*our phone bill that month was over $Many00, nearly sent Mrs. T-B. back to Ecu man

We limped to bed for an interim séance with the heating-pad last night, ow man.

Mrs. T-B. was awake and playing with her $Many,000,000 new phone, $igh man.

 

This loving conversation ensued, see man:

 

T-B.:  We have to go back down to make our lunches, ow man.

Mrs. T-B. [playing with $Many,000,000 phone]:  Are you asking for me to make them for you?

T-B.:  Well, we're not sure if we can stand up that long, ow man.

[Mrs. T-B. continues playing with $Many,000,000 phone, play she man]

T-B.:  And you haven't offered or done it for the Many'rd year now, no man.

T-B. [hinting helpfully]:  We have to go back down to make our lunches, ow man.

Mrs. T-B.:  Are you trying to get me to make them for you?

T-B.:  We don't think that we can stand up that long, ow man.

T-B. [after long pause]:  Well, we guess that we'll go back down to make our lunches now, ow man.

Mrs. T-B. [playing with phone]:  Remember that I made you "air" sandwiches* the last time.

T-B.:  "The maid has left -- do it yourself, si man."**

[T-B. limps downstairs to make own lunches, ow man.]

 

*about Many years ago, Mrs. T-B. forgot to put anything on the hamburger buns for one of our lunches, and we & she called them "air" sandwiches, that's when we took over the permanent job, ADD she man

 

**Mrs. T-B.'s usual response to even the smallest request favor, as-self-reliant-as-we-were-when-we-were-single we man

Back seems to be better today, guardedly optimistic we man.

Yelled perhaps only half-a-Manyzen times during the morning, big improvement man.

And Many of those yells were on the stairs, up-&-down situation man.

As long as we're not lying down, walking, or standing in place, we're doing OK man.

Many (2x2x2+2) years ago today -- Tuesday, October Many'th (2x2x2+1th) -- Mrs. T-B.-to-be made it through POE with use of her K-1 visa, see she man.

 

Simultaneously, we could give the final one-finger salute to the illegitimate-male-child Guayaquil consulate, take that man.  Still working on the exposé thread, grrrr man.
