An Official Corporate Champion of the ACC, and so a chain with no locations in Syracuse.

/still an Orange fan, despite moving to SoCal in 2001.

I am a Duke fan until I die and pretty much my whole family(except for my brother). I would occasionally get the weird looks when I wore my Duke apparel out in town when I lived in SoCal. But I grew irritated with people that wore Carolina apparel but didn't know anything about the school or "only liked it because Michael Jordan went there".

I kind of didn't have a problem with Amazon until it started to put bookstores out of business.

When I worked in Afghanistan and before I had a Kindle I used to buy a ####### ton of used books on Amazon. There are a ton of small town used book stores on Amazon selling used books to people. So I would buy the book for like $1-2 and then S/H would be another $2.99. That would be a grand total of $3-4.99 for a used book from a used book store that I would read and then pass on to other people for free if I didn't want to keep it. But I would get this notes from the book stores saying "Thank you for buying this used book from XYZ Book Store in Podunk Florida" and it did make me smile. Now I have a Kindle and the other hardback books I buy have to be worth it.

The last hardback book I bought was "The Fighters" because it has a couple of my buddies in there from our time in Iraq 2006-2007. I seriously tried to read it and got ghost bumps then put it down.

Ok, so if I take the kids to WDW again in 2021. Then by the centennial in 2071, they can take their grandkids over there and tell them about 50 years ago, when they were kids...

And they'll tell their grandkids how awesome their great grandfather was...

That's provided if they're grandmas by then...

I used to be one of those small booksellers on Amazon! I expanded to there from Alibris and B&N. I ran the business for years while I was in highschool and it was a lot of fun.

I've had an e-reader and my ipad, but nothing replaces a book for me, especially if I'm reading for pleasure.

I love the convenience of my Kindle but miss the smell and feel of a real book

Exactly.... I love the feel and smell of a book. But the wife kept getting mad at me for buying so many books. Now she just doesn't know how many books I have saved so far which as of right now I have 430 books that I have bought since 2013 for my Kindle.
