We have up-cleaned the kitchen, not too bad man.

Earlier, we cleaned up the junk shelf, stuff from June found there man.

That which survived the jetsam is now piled on the breakfast table, next project man.

At the airport, we plan to bring Mini-B. his Burger King crown, coronation of wee man.

We plan to bring Mrs. T-B. the week's fotos of us with the rubias, instill deferential wifely behavior in she man.

That's my job too.  If I'm at the front desk, I'm not allowed to sit.  If I'm in the pods, I'm already busy running around and doing things.

 

today was so full of stupid I laid down on the floor twice and just laughed.  I just couldn't help it.  Really... the ###### questions I get and people's responses..

 

"my dog has had bloody diarrhea for 3 days/weeks/months should she come in?" 

YES!!!  Are you crazy? If YOU had bloody diarrhea just once you'd go to the dr!!!

 

"my dog tried to jump on the bed and missed.. now she's crying out whenever we try to pick her up."

You just said she was crying out in pain whenever you touch her... Are you stupid or just ignorant?

 

Girl brings in dogs who got into trash.  One dog doesn't look right... I say "hey can I take him to treatment and get someone to look at him ASAP? (basically I'm really freaking concerned this dog is having a seizure or something.)

"sure" she bursts into tears

take dog, give history, vet tech says "looks like mold poisoning, can we put in a catheter and start fluids?"

Go back, talk to girl who calls dad in California.  Dad says "you can spend a couple hundred on each dog that's it." 

internally seething "okay thank you... "

Pretend to punch air after leaving front entrance

Report dad's instructions to techs in sarcastic tone because furious.

Thankfully this story ends well, dad wanted dog put down, mom gets on phone and says "do everything you need to do here's my credit card number. " Moral of story, thank god for moms!

 

Lady on phone rants at me for 30 mins straight.. I miss at least 3-4 phone calls and have 3 people standing in a line in front of me while another CSR checks out a PTS.

 

Another lady rants at me for 20 mins, I end up saying okay I will try to do that for you just to get her off the phone... transfer phone to Dr (who is also owner an apparently in touch with dog owner without ANY NOTES ON FILE!!!)

 

Dude wants his exotic pet neutered...  Sure, it's XX dollars, only this dr can do it.

Well no can do daddi-o, this dr only does Sx on this or that day.

"well that doesn't work for me, can you just do it next sat?"

Well no can do daddi-o, this dr is the only one who can do it and can only do it these days.  Can you drop off early? pick up late? We can work around this. 

"oh well drop off early sure set me up this day"

DONE

 

Hey call me "no phone number lady" and set up a heart exam for cat. 

Sure "emailing" done. 

 

And then there's all the sad conversations I have to have about pricing for euthanasia.  One man knows his cat is dying, it has kidney failure.  He doesn't want the cat to suffer but wants to offer palliative care.  Dr says No don't force feed the cat, that's not quality of life.  We can rx meds and try some digestive enhancers or soothers, but please don't force feed your cat with a syringe.  Get Dr to order more meds, give man home euthanasia pamphlets and sadly watch him walk away after relaying.

Being an upstanding individual for Many hours/day is cruelty, if not employee abuse, think we man.

Texted Mrs. T-B. in Nueva York:  "If you're awake, call us on the casa phone, si ma'am."

She and Mini-B. called us minutes later, she & wee call we man.

 

Mrs. T-B. announced that Mini-B. had something to say to us, announce she about wee man.

Mini-B. said, "Daddy, I wish you were here with me," sweet wee man.

We said, "You're coming home tomorrow, si wee man!"

Mini-B. said, "Daddy, I want you here with me NOW."

We had to explain that in less than Many hours, his plane would land, explain we to wee man.

Mini-B. seemed to accept this, acceptable to wee man.

• Do you mind your parents and other adults?
