200k goes pretty far when you get all benefits thrown in on top.

Even in the city...

Eh, maybe I'm used to more growing up. Seems like barely enough to live there.

We'll make over that when we are both working, and will be very comfortable, but we have a low COL.  I am planning on putting most of my extra towards retirement after student loans, though.

I agree! right now me, the immigrant, is the primary bread winner while my USC husband goes to school again! and I don‘t make even close to that and yet we can maintain a living...but also...we live in the midwest where everything is a tiny bit cheaper hahah

We are actually thinking of moving more south east, like TN, and buying a farm.

I think that would be fun! I just saw that my duplex I had rented years ago in CO for $500/month is now over $1000. It was crappy then, and I can't imagine it has improved much since. I was telling the Dane that I'd love to move back to Golden, but there is no way we could ever afford it with the housing prices the way they are now.

I'm still toying with the idea of moving, but our town seems to be going in a good direction. They are making improvements that I like in terms of livability and become greener.  The only downside is the long drive to bigger towns.

Yesterday for lunch I made æbleskivers. Then, sugar cookies. The recipe was not good and needed a lot more flour which made it an ordeal. This morning the kids won’t shut up about decorating them and the gingerbread house cake. I used this  Nordic Ware Gingerbread House... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZJCFNS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

I see the benefits in pre-baking for holidays now.

Also, I’m wondering if the witch is returning. I am breaking out everywhere this week; I even had a pimple on my earlobe this morning. I’m also feeling bloated. I’m always grumpy, so that is no indicator. Almost 11 months post partum seems like a reasonable guess. See, this is what happens as a result of the Tank sleeping through the night those glorious 2 nights.
