Hello VJers,

My mother in law might be coming if she gets approved for a tourist visa, so I wanted to ask if anyone has any advice or suggestions for getting health insurance for her while she's staying with us.   Of course I don't wish for anything to happen for my MIL is a bit old, so I'm just being cautious...thank you in advance for any suggestions.

If you are buying the insurance, buy from a Day BEFORE her start date(from home) and till a Day After her arrival to the final destination on her return. This would cover health issue during and immediately after her entire travel.

She buys travel insurance from her home country before she travels.

I would suggest that, but I wouldn't trust any company in Vietnam selling insurance.
