they finally cashed my check after almost one month. I seemed to recall someone mentioned that the numbers on the check is not real receipt number (I checked both, i got two EAC # on my check, neither one turned out to be the real number). Anyway, when should I expected our notice?

I-130 Timeline:

Feb 02/04 - NOA1 received from VSC.

Sep 16/04 - NOA2 received in mail from VSC

NVC Timeline:

Nov 08/04 - NVC case number assigned

Nov 25/04 - Recieved the bill for I-864 and a copy of DS3032

Nov 29/04 - sent Money order of $65 for I-864 to St. Louis

Dec 03/04 - sent signed DS3032 to NVC

Dec 14/04 - NVC entered DS3032 to computer

Dec 28/04 - sent Money order for IV fee bill of $335 to St. Louis

Jan 05/05 - received I864 form

Jan 07/05 - mailed back I864 form. cross my fingers, hopefully nothing went wrong

Jan 10/05 - usps indicates I-864 has been delivered.

Jan 13/05 - NVC received I-864, it is under review now.

Jan 18/05 - still waiting for IV fee bill to be updated by NVC

Jan 19/05 - System finally received IV fee bill

Jan 24/05 - DS230 has been generated

Jan 28/05 - DS230 received

Feb 1/05 - mailed Ds230 to Wife

Fed 15/05 - DS230 sent to NVC

Mar 7/05 - NVC completes the case

Mar 18/05 - Case sent to embassy

Mar 28/05 - Case entered into embassy system

June 30/05 - Interview date

July 12/05 - Wife entered US

I-129F Timeline:

March 3/04 - NOA1 received from Chicago.

Sep 7/04 -transfered to New Hamphire

Nov/04 ... still waiting And decide to give up any hopes on it

Mar 23/05 - K3 approval

Apr 4/05 - NVC recieved K3

Apr 8/05 - K3 sent to GuangZhou Embassy

We got NOA1 receipt in the mail about 7-10 days after the check was cashed.

I see you noted Guangzhou in your signature, you may want to visit and join "A Candle for Love" that site specializes in Gunagzhou and the ins and outs of the visa process through that particular consulate. The Consulate even posts to the site from time to time.

If you look at other people's timelines for the I751 you'll notice that the NOA1 usually shows up about one month from filing. However, there has been reports lately especially from ppl filing through Vermont that it can take more than 45 days right now.

Anyway, speedy processing! :)

Mar 09, 2007: I751 arrived at TSC

Mar 13, 2007: checks cleared bank

Mar 24, 2007: biometrics receipt dated Mar 09

Mar 28, 2007: NOA1 dated Mar 09

Mar 28, 2007: biometrics letter dated Mar 22

Apr 06, 2007: biometrics appointment

(Oct 09, 2007: called USCIS: service request sent to TSC)

Jan 31, 2008: case transferred to VSC (last touch date changed from 04/07/07 to 02/01/08)

Feb 01, 2008: touch

Feb 04, 2008: touch

(Feb 05, 2008: infopass appointment)

Feb 07, 2008: transfer notice dated Feb 01, 08

Feb 13, 2008: touch (Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.)

Feb 25, 2008: touch

Apr 11, 2008: approval email! (only took 1 year, 34 days!)

Apr 13, 2008: 2 more approval emails

Apr 16, 2008: email notice: "Approval notice sent"

Apr 18, 2008: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!! card received!

05/05/2010 check cashed
