Just received this e-mail. Case status page pretty much says the same thing. Am I to understand that this is the actual review and upon approval (I hope) will go to the embassy. My application was file 9-29-2017 so it has taken a while.

On September 21, 2018, we began reviewing your Form I129F, PETITION FOR ALIEN FIANCÉ(E), Receipt Number ###########. We mailed you a notice informing you of the action we intend to take on your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice and submit any requested materials. I
During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

IIRC, your case case transferred to VSC previously for biometrics, right?

 

Unfortunately, that status update is usually a NOID or denial. I have seen a few times where it happened to be an approval or RFE as well, but this is a minority of cases. Only way to know for sure is when the paper comes in.

I hope you are wrong. My crime was in 1996, non-violent and I was a full blown alcoholic operating in a black out. All the information was provided and I have been clean & sober over 20 years and very very active in a 12 step program that shall not be named.

I hope so as well. Again, I have seen this be an RFE or approval as well, so don't lose hope too!
