Agree, that they are not qualified to give advice. People need to do their own due diligence to understand the process before applying. And yes , you can find the information here and do it yourself. But I see a lot of people one here that should have used a company like RV. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.

The people I see do not realise that the simple bit if form filling and that unless there is something weird about their situation paying for somebody to do it is both a waste of time, delay and error potential.

Those with issues need a Lawyer not a form filler.

I disagree. But that’s ok, everybody has an opinion. And I offered mine. It’s good for others to see different opinions so they can make up their own mind. That’s the wonderful thing about America, everyone is free to think and express their views as they wish. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford the luxury of having someone else do it and don’t mind paying the money to simplify my life.

If you need legal help use a qualified legal adviser.

Lmao! They actually provide other services such as expedited passport renewals and getting visas. If you need a visa quickly they are a good resource.

You do realize that you can do your own expedite for a US passport renewal, right?  Paying a service to do it for you does not make it faster.

They also do not decrease the wait time for any of the USCIS processes.

My husbands interview was on Monday and we had pretty much the same experience. The lady was very rude to him, accused him of lying, wouldn't look at any of our evidence and gave us 221g to submit basically everything he had in his hand. There were only 2 things he didnt bring that they requested. We just submitted a heap of evidence and are just praying. Please let me know when you recieve a response and I will do the same for you so we have a better idea of the timeline.

It was in Mumbai. Yeah we submitted like 4 screenshots of chats and call logs from every month we have known each otber, all screenshots of us video chatting, a letter about how we met/why we got married, every Facebook/instagram post we made about each other including the comments from our friends and family, letters of support from our friends and family, pictures of us videochatting with each others family, money transfers between us, our marriage certificate and photos and literally every picture we ever took together. It came out to like 250 or 300 pages plus all the photos. I hope we both get through this quickly. Was your fiancees interview also in mumbai? When he submitted his documents they told him he would recieve a response in 3-4 days but that sounds too good to be true honestly.

This is where you get revenge when you send 250-300 pages. I'm with you on this one. Make them pay for their stupidity. :D

OP, all embassies are different in what they require to be satisfied that the relationship is bona fide. In most Western European embassies, you would not be expected to bring a boxful of evidence of an ongoing relationship but less economically advanced countries require a lot more. This is where the country-specific sections of this forum are very useful so that you can read the experiences of people who have gone before you at the same embassy.

Unfortunately, there has been a higher-than-average rate of K-1 fraud at the embassies in India and so they are very meticulous in making sure that the relationship is bona fide and that you are both single. There have been many cases (not saying this applies to you or anyone on this forum) in India where the couple is already married and using the K-1 to get to the USA quicker than a CR-1. Previously the time difference between K-1 and CR-1 was much bigger - I did a CR-1 in 2016 and it took 10 months 1 day from sending the I-130 to my interview but K-1s were getting through the entire process in 3 months or less. There have also been many cases in India where someone marries a USC in order to immigrate and once they have their GC they divorce and marry a previous partner (often re-marrying someone they divorced shortly before marrying the USC) from India and petition for them. Because of the actions of previous applicants, it’s unfortunate that you have to jump through so many hoops.

This just about nails it re: the issue with K-1 fraud in India.  Genuine applicants get it that much harder to prove their bonafides.

Yeah......rapid visa didnt say anything..  they just helped with first process..but I know now. Little late.

He replied saying that it was easier to marry in usa because of my children. But we do have plans is also marrying in india so his family can attend.

I think what got us is that he didnt take call logs.

Kids from a previous relationship creates additional hurdles for Indian men because COs are aware Indian families generally prefer their sons marry a child-bearing woman (preferably with no previous kids).

Is your Indian fiance previously married or has kids of his own?

I can still bare children..that's not an issue. And no he hasn't been married b4 nor has children...I'm a widow at a young age.

Sorry to hear about your former husband.

While in no way judging your situation, India based COs cast a wary eye on Indian male applicants seeking US fiance/spouse that run counter to cultural norms.. you guys probably know that. I've lived in India, and I could see a CO eyeing a previously unmarried Indian male seeking to marry a divorced/widowed USC female with children with suspicion. It's a tall order.
