Hello Everyone!

I have an Interview at US Embassy Islamabad in less than a month. I have 2 questions. Your help will be greatly appreciated:

1) I didn't get any Letter in mail regarding Interview Appointment. I just got an email from NVC telling me about my about my Interview appointment details. Does that email considered as Interview Appointment letter? and I need to print that email to show for Medical Examination and at Embassy at time of Interview?

2) We uploaded my spouse's tax returns on CEAC. Do I need to take her original tax returns to an Interview or can I just print out her scanned documents? or it has to be originals and I should ask her to send me Originals by Fedex/DHL?

Thanks

@Sal S Did you/or your spouse never received any letter from Islamabad Embassy for the interview?

I am this as I read the instructions on the website and it implies that the embassy sends written notifications.

I don’t think so most people in Pakistan gets written letter from Embassy. I got an email and as I heard from everyone saying  that email is considered as an appointment letter and Just print that out and present it to medical examiner and at embassy as well.

The instructions I referenced above were for K-1 visa.

@rehan120 The email you referenced above - was it from NVC or Embassy... OR they both send separate emails?

For our first interview we received our interview letter from NVC they emailed and attached the letter with the interview details.  This time was different as it was reaffirmed so we actually scheduled ourselves and printed a confirmation.

You can always call NVC to check on the email they sent and if that serves as your only interview letter you will receive.

Tax returns are not originals anyway as the original was sent to the government.  Printing what was uploaded on CEAC would suffice but in addition (if possible) I would include tax transcripts.  It seems the ISL embassy has asked for these in addition to the tax returns from some recent interviews.  If you have not already sent them to NVC I would have your wife order them so you have them for your interview.

We just got an email from NVC (nothinh attached with it). The email tells us the Interview Appointment Details and it mentions that “Present this letter upon arrival at Embassy” and also said that “Bring this letter to your medical examination”.

The email should suffice, since that is all you were given. As for the tax returns, they don't have to be the originals. The only original documents needed are the civil documents (marriage, birth, etc). Best of luck!

Do we need original Birth certificate of Petitioner as well? I think only copy is needed.

For Montreal, you need either a copy of the petitioner's birth certificate or passport...something to prove their citizenship.

Even here you need to show as well. I was just wondering whether  original or copy. And yes I do have copy of her birth certificate and Passport copy.
