Try to understand why the CO's are coming off as so "mean"--to throw off and catch the actual scammers and prevent some other person from being used & abused. It's nothing personal, it's just their job.

Agree, but is it okay to deny or categorize all based on assumption, questions will be asked no doubt but some of the questions and demeaning goes above what should be acceptable.

Yes, and I notice most complain about them and do nothing or are too afraid to make a comment, I've seen people say the a poster oh I am soo sorry you were denied, they are so harsh bla bla and turn around and say, it's there job and bla..Ofocurse its their job, thats the whole point to keep us safe, but I have never read such "meaness" from any consule as I read from this one, just saying.

That you haven't read of it, is like me saying I haven't read anything in Chinese.  What you have or haven't read has little if any bearing on what IS.

No, the point is not to keep us safe.  They are NOT protecting you.  They are enforcing immigration law, that requires them to make a judgment call as to whether fiance(e) or spouse immigration benefits sought are based on bona fide relationships.  A K-1 visa from Morocco in your circumstances was unlikely.  That you didn't know that BEFORE you filed was the result of a lack of research on your part.

Consular Officers do not always get it right.  I cannot make any judgment on your relationship.  I don't know enough about your case.  But, the Consular Officer knew all that was in the file, did their job, and may or may not have made the correct decision.  No matter how you "FEEL" about it, if you are honest with yourself, you KNOW, that YOU don't KNOW either.  Feelings are not knowledge.

If you want to be together, the way to do so is to withdraw your I-129f petition, go get married AND spend two or more months living together as man and wife in Morocco.  If you do not, the be prepared for this "dream" not to end well.

Not sure there is anywhere where all are denied, always used to be Nigeria was Number 1 and you will see approvals from there.

There are many aspects of the immigration process that, like it or not, may feel "demeaning" and unacceptable, even after the interview at the consulate. Extremely personal questions. You can spend your energy fighting the current system (good luck), or you can accept the way things currently are and spend your energy strengthening your case and preparing yourself emotionally and mentally. In my experience, the latter produces much better results and benefits you in the long run. The last of my 2 cents on this thread.

I am well aware of the odds stacked against a k1 out of Morocco, my post had very little to do with my case at all actually, it was just an observation.

I married a guy (US citizen)15+ years younger than I am.

Do I think it happens that younger men just happen to fell in love with older women? yes.

However, I also believe the absolute majority of people sitting in front of a computer, sending unsolicited messages on social media, hoping to fell in love with an older western woman (man) are scammers. NO, THEY DON'T LOVE YOU, THEY LOVE YOUR NATIONALITY

Unfortunately, it happens too often in countries like Morocco and the Philippines.

Yes, more than one visit, my post has nothing to do with my case or my fiance, it's a general observation. Thank you.

Observation?.   Well, good luck on your case, from your "observation" you know what your up against in Morocco for interview.

I think the best approach you can take from this is to understand and be prepared for the interview date. Know the evidence you've submitted to USCIS/NVC and practice going over the interview questions so your SO is familiar and better understands the question.

Yes, it can be really nerve-racking reading all these negative reviews/experiences people have had during their interviews at the Casablanca consulate. I also agree with what others have said, that some of these questions (while rude) are meant to trigger/draw out a response from the beneficiary. I think they're trained to use various tactics to weed out the fraudulent cases and protect as many poor souls as they can from being duped and left heart broken. Unfortunately some genuine hearts get broken as well. On the other side, many people go into their interview and it lasts barely 10 minutes and they get approved. I think a lot depends on the evidence provided.

This journey is by no means fair or easy. It's emotionally draining and I think puts a lot of stress on both parties involved. It sucks that this is the way it is, but I also understand why it is this way, due to high amounts of fraud. I think Morocco is still in the top 5 for fraudulent marriages.

Anyways, don't lose hope or let this get your down! Use all the information you have from VJ as an advantage to help you prepare for all the steps that are to come.
