hi

it doesn't matter that the i130 was expedited. it will take a month or two until it gets to nvc, you will get a letter with a new case number and nothing else

it still will take 2 or more years in all for the priority date to become current for the interview, before that of course, nvc will contact you for the paperwork, payments and forms.

it doesn't matter when the i130 is approved, the waiting time is still the same, over 2 years in all

yes,

and the wait in all for the category F2A, is 2 years. you are a GC holder, not a USC, therefore there is a waiting list, a line of waiting, and it doesn't matter when the i130 is approved, since you son relies on the visa bulletin

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2019/visa-bulletin-for-october-2018.html

this is the visa bulletin for the month of October, check the category F2A

it will take a year and a half or more until the interview.

Why do you want an expedite?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Another expedite like last year?  Pushing it I think.

Unlike a parent or spouse of a USC there is no immediate visa for the child of an LPR. Depending on his age you may have made a mistake in getting the expedite. If he turns 21 while waiting for his priority date to be reached he will go into a new category and have an even longer wait. What is the child's date of birth?

Sounds like a bit of chain migration.

No it's not...the PD for F2A takes about 2 years, as noted above.

You cannot expedite a Priority Date. There is no provision in the law to do so...one must wait until it is current.

Depending on their age, it's even possible that your expedite at USCIS may result in the child aging out into F2B, with a ~7-10 year wait. It's shooting yourself in the foot (although this only matters in cases where CSPA comes into play).

If you applied in May 2018 the priority date is not current.
