My fiancee and I feel like she's running short on time to get her interview scheduled since our wedding in the US is scheduled for December 1 and the Sydney consulate seems to only do interviews toward the end of a month.  She emailed packet 3 back to them with 2 attachments (DS-160 confirmation, MRV fee receipt) last Wednesday, September 12.  We still have not heard anything back.  When she calls them, they just tell her to email USTravelDocs' Support-Australia address.  But they said they haven't gotten her email.  She doesn't have time to call them again because she has to go do her medical exam today and then get back to work tomorrow.

Here is the text of the email she sent to Support-Australia:

Quote

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have paid the MRV fee for the K-1 visa and attached the receipts of the payment and DS160 confirmation page.

1)      Name: (her name)

2)      Case number (begins with SYD): SYD**********

3)      Email address: (her email)

4)      Online Nonimmigrant Visa application (DS-160):

o   DS-160 confirmation number - (redacted) (attached document)

o   SYDNEY as my place of interview

5)      MRV Fee receipt for K Visa applicants (USD265.00) - paid (attached document)

I have scheduled my medical exam. The documents below are prepared for the interview.

  • Document cover sheet & checklist
  • Receipt of MRV fee
  • Birth Certificate (original) + copy
  • I-129f application (copy)
  • Approved NOA2 (copy)
  • Two 5cmx5cm USA sized Passport photos
  • Australian Police certificate (original) + copy
  • Singaporean police certificate (original) + copy
  • Evidence of ongoing relationship
  • DS-160 confirmation page
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • I-134 (original) + copy
  • IMBRA pamphlet

May I request for an interview date on the week of 1st October to 5th October if it is possible please? The reason being as an educator, I would like to refrain from missing lessons with my students. The period of Oct 1 to October 5th is the school term break in (where she lives), and this will not disrupt students' learning. I understand if it is not feasible.

Thank you!

Warmest Regards

(her name)

Why haven't they gotten this and moved on to sending Packet 4 and scheduling her interview yet?  What can we do?

Edit: CEAC says "Ready" on our case.  If you need any other info, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Did she correctly title the email? Sometimes they don't look at emails unless it's subject line is correct. Were there specific instructions on how to email them?

@MarksMate It doesn't look like there were any instructions on that.  She just put her case number as the subject line.

Unfortunately - going from anecdotal evidence on the forum - it looks like she will be unlikely to get an interview until the end of October.

I have done a search and scan on Aus timelines and it seems the Sydney consulate only do K1 visa interviews on the last Tuesday of each month.

I emailed support-australia this morning and got an auto reply.  For some reason they also created a USTravelDocs account for me even though I'm the petitioner, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that.  My fiancee didn't get an auto reply when she contacted them.
