Affidavit of Support

Good afternoon,

My apologies if this has been asked in the past, tried to review the past threads however, I could not located it a precise answer. 

Just a wanted to confirm a question that I have regarding the affidavit of support. This happens to be my wife's case as she is wanting to bring her parents here. If her income alone cannot suffice to meet the requirements then can we both complete an affidavit of support (two separate forms) and me check the box for a joint sponsor? Also, we are aware of the fees, however what type of payment methods are accepted in order to pay the visa fees?

Yes you can but since you are a spouse (and assume you are in same household file joint taxes etc.) I believe you would file a i864a.

Can you afford health care for the parents if they don't get jobs right away after they get their EAD's? The general estimate is about $900 per month each. You should figure that into you budget. And if they will be deducted from your taxes (making them part of your household). Brest to consult a tax advisor and an insurance advisor.
