On the latest I-864, when calculating the household size, they first ask for the number of people I'm sponsoring on the form....which is 1 (my wife). They then tell me to count myself....1. They then say that if I'm currently married to count my wife...1. Then add these up to get my household size...which following their instructions literally results in 3 even though my household size is really 2. I think my household size should just be 2, but I'm afraid to not count one of these since they are all true, and also am afraid I'll cause some problem if my total doesn't add up. I don't want to get flagged or have an RFE...so what is the correct way to fill this out?!

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

it also says in the instructions not to count anyone twice. so if you counted your wife as the sponsored immigrant you wont want to count her again as your spouse

put nothing in the spouse box :)
