Still waiting on NOA1

We got out I129-f mailed out on the 16 of April and the money order for the processing fee was cashed on the 26 of april. It's now been over 4 weeks since mailed. What are our options now. We are still waiting on this NOA1. The blasted phone lines are a maze to get through.

A friend going through the process got in touch with his congressman who in turn got him in touch with his local House of Representative member. They were just about 2 months ahead of us in their processing and upon the HoR member getting involved things moved for him. Their visa has now been approved and is in the final stages. We're working on the same thing currently. Wish us luck. Though we still need advice during the beginning stages here. Thanks everyone.

Check the cancelled check on the back,it should have your application receipt number. That way you can check online, and see the status of your petition. Hope it helps! Good luck to you!!

I paid with a western union money order. I only know that it was cashed since I checked the western union website. We have had no word at all from USCIS. No receipts or anything. Therefore no application receipt number.

Call their customer service line and tell them that it's been over 30 days since you sent in your form and that the check has been cashed. They should be able to give you your receipt # over the phone. If you want you can also ask them to mail you the NOA1 but it will take over a month to get to you.

If your money order was cashed (or check for those sending checks), you can call the customer service line as suggested above to get your receipt #. Since your money order was cashed at the end of April, you should be in their system.

If your check/money order has not been cashed, there is not much you can do right now. There is a backlog in receipting the apps and getting NOA1s out for April filers. If your check/money order has not been cashed and if you call after 30 days as the recorded message tells you, the live rep will tell you that the wait is now up to 45 days for both CSC and VSC, they will tell you to call back at that point. The applications will be forwarded to one of these 2 SC as they are the ones that are processing the 129Fs. Be patient, your checks will be cashed and NOA1s sent.
