I-130A Information about Parent 2 question

Hey, so I'm conflicted with the Information about Parent 2 on the I-130A form.

 

Before I was born my biological father left us so I have never seen him nor been in contact with him for all my 29 Years.

 

I have a ex? step father I grew up for most of my years, for around like 15 years.

 

And now I have a new? step father for like 2 years. or something, don't really know if that's the right way say it if you are 29 years old haha.

 

But anyway, who should I put in as my Parent 2?

They are asking for the biological parent information.

 

Just put "unknown" in any of the fields you are unable to answer about your biological father, and/or ask your mother for help in filling in the info she knows/knew about him (ie. name, year of birth, etc.).

Sort of.  Do not put "unknown" for what IS known, or for information that is reasonably obtainable.  If your mother is alive, she knows your father's name and maybe more.  Ask her.  If she's not alive and you really don't know his name, then put "unknown" but be ready to explain how that is possible.  It could be as simple as, "My mother died and never told me his name." if true.  If not true, default to what IS true.  Ask her.

I understand what you mean  .  I just introduce my "step mother" as "this is my father's wife" at my age lol
