Where could the i485 aos interview be taken place for me and my wife? during our biometrics we had to go to rhode island, but could they send us to the one in Boston for the interview or could it be in another state?

Go to https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices and enter your zip code to find out the field office for your area. That's where your interview will be.

Interesting.    I went to the link, did my Arizona Zip, and it comes up Phoenix which is about a 4 hour drive.  When my wife had her bio for for EAD etc, we went to Vegas, 90 minutes but out of state..  I wonder, I think her apt would be in Vegas as well.

Your biometrics is at the nearest application support center, which you can find here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=ASC

 

For us, I get a small city near San Diego for biometrics and downtown for the interview.
