What to bring to AOS K1 interview

Hello,

 me and my wife are trying to figure out what to bring to our AOS interview. They say to bring joint account stuff for some sites i read, but we dont have any joint stuff because my wife dosent have a SSN number yet(we applied for one on the i765 for the ssa to do it without going to the office). Anyone got any ideas what we should bring? I say wedding photos but i think i will need more?

I would say gather as many photos of you together and with family members, if you have any mail listed with both your names at the same address that would be good to bring along. I know you can also get members of the family to write up a statement/letter to confirm that they know you both and can verify you are both married.

Me and my husband don't have much besides a joint bank account, which was set up before we got married so need to update to my married name on that one!

We must have received a different I-797 NOA than you.

 

Our interview notice, dated August 2018, had an extensive list of things that it said we MUST bring to the interview saying that, "failure to bring the below listed items will result in the denial of your application."   

 

The examiner did not ask for all of the items on the list, but we sure brought everything on the list and it worked for us.  On both our embassy interview and the AOS interview the examiners complimented us on our preparation.  Your mileage may differ.
