My husband is here, adjusting from the K1. He has been going to college while here and I have been paying the bill out of pocket for him, since he couldn't get financial aid. Now that he finally received his EAD this week, can he file a FAFSA for aid for the winter/spring semesters? Or does he need to wait until he has a green card? No one at the financial aid office understands our situation at all. They told him he could file a FAFSA at a time where I knew for a fact he could not.
