Will you be using a co sponsor?

Its possible that they could see your fiance as likely to become a public charge if you and/or children are receiving food stamps. If you need it to get by for yourself or them, what can guarantee s/he wont need help too?

Not all countries but some also heavily question how you could afford to visit your fiance if you are receiving benefits. Of course I dont know about your case but make sure your fiance is prepared to answer every possible question at their interview.

(Btw- I live about 20 min away from you lol)

I'm not faulting you at all...I'm just letting you know he should be able to provide good answers for any financial questions they may ask such as

Who is your co sponsor?

Have you met them?

Why would they be willing to sponsor you?

How could your fiance visit you on a limited income?

Have you met her children?

Fortunately Norway isnt a high fraud country and maybe your fiance came to visit you here. Just practice

It is difficult but if you can get additional sponsor(s), it may help, however, no one will know for sure if it will works.  My uncle's friend filed for his wife but his income was way below the 125% requirement, my uncle (a millionaire) filed joint-sponsor, but Ho Chi Minh City (VN) Consulate rejected it.  We are not sure because my uncle has no family relationship to his friend or they feel that it will become public burden if visa is granted.
