Hello Everyone!

First off, this website has been an absolute dream and I thank all of you for contributing to it! I am not sure I would have made it this far without you guys.

We just received our NOA2 (via mail only for those still waiting and check USCIS website everyday like I did!)

I am gathering information to send my fiance for the interview.

In my original packet I included a picture of me in my wedding dress with a receipt as part of proof. I really would like to keep my dress a secret till the wedding and I don't want my fiance to see it! Will this be an issue since it was included in the first packet? I have no desire to cause issues with our visa just to keep it a surprise.

I will send it along if needed but we both would like it to be a surprise if possible.

Thanks again for all the help you guys put into this website.

Anything you sent in with the initial packet will be with the petition at the interview. The CO will review the petition before the interview itself, your fiance won't see the packet or anything; but the CO can ask anything they want to in regards of it so it may come up as them asking something like "How much did the dress cost?" so obviously he may find out about it.....

Thanks! I don't mind if he knows the cost. I just don't want him to see me in it!

Don't think they will show him it. I suppose they could if he asked... but they also may find it odd he never saw it before so maybe also discuss it with him just so he knows the details and all.

They do not go through the petition at the interview in London. your Fiance will receive a copy of the I-129F in the post, but only the form, not any of the evidence. At the London interview he will go to one window and hand over documents required, then he will sit down, wait some more for the actual interview and then he will be asked a couple of questions like how you met, and what your living situation will be once he relocates.

First off, send nothing to you fiancé except your I-134 affidavit of support and 1-2 proofs of income. You need no photos or additionalrelationship  evidence at a London interview.

I have heard of London interviewers showing a photo from the original I-129F packet and  saying "Who are these people?" just to see if the fiancé can identify the inlaws he was pictured with. So tell you fiancé when he goes to the second window (interview) to say first off, "My fiancé told me she submitted a photo of herself in her wedding gown. Please don't let me see it. She will kill both of us if it's not a surprise to me at our wedding." 😂

London is very laid back and the interviewer would think it funny.

Thanks! I understand it is a very serious process but I would hope some would understand the tradition of it and it cracks a smile!

they are really lovely there. I was fortunate enough to have my fiance with me, and with the first man who I had to see to take all my docs joked with him about football and stuff, and then the lady who did my interview laughed with me about how we met and everything.
