Good evening all, I am wanting to get a jump on vaccines because I was told that they are pretty expensive when it comes time to take the medical. Can anyone tell me what vaccines are needed. My husband said that he's had all his vaccines since a child but was not sure if there's more that he needs now that he's an adult. I have searched the web and found a super long list of vaccines and just wanting to know if there are certain ones he will need to have before hand. Thank you!!!

I think I found the answer!!!

  • Mumps
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Polio
  • Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
  • Pertussis
  • Haemophilus influenzae type B
  • Hepatitis B
  • Any other vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices

I was looking in all the wrong places I think I found it!!

Not sure about Jamaica, but It’s hard to tell until he attends the medical appointment.  My fiancé had no records yet she was only required to get a few from that really long list.

I did mine in July and I paid about 28k for my vaccines there and I only got 3. U can let him go by the clinic which he was vaccinated at when he was a child to get some so it could cost u less that’s what I did. And what islandmate said is correct

I have heard that too....to go to the clinic and update your shots, but you can't tell them what its for or they will not do it...am I correct about this?

Well they will ask what's the purpose and I believe it's best to be honest so they'll tell you which Vaccine u really need.

I lost my immunization record and went to my local Clinic and I was able to get the copy of my record and I'm currently receiving the shots I need.

Just that some of the shots you'll have to pay for. Hepatitis B and Chicken pox shot.

I paid $2500 JMD for the Hep B shot but they don't have the Chicken pox shot gonna go to another clinic to see if I can get that one

I know it is best to be honest especially when it comes to the government, but I have read previous posts that some just went to a clinic and just stated they wanted to update their immunizations

Ohhh. Well I went and requested my immunization record. And then I asked about the shots. The nurse asked me whats the purpose and I told her and she told me the shots I needed.

I wasn't the only person getting vaccine that day Everyone there was getting vaccine because they're immigrating Lol.

My fiancee didn't have his record.  They gave him 2 shots and charged $9,150 (less than $100 US).  However we did the K1 visa which is considered non immigrant.  Your requirements may be different.
