You kinda lost me for a moment. Does he have his interview scheduled tomorrow? And the NVC status just turned "ready" today?

No.. its been ready... the last case updated part showed today's date, but the "ready' as been there before the interview was scheduled. his interview is tomorrow however.  Does that make sense?

Yes. That will change from ready to administrative process after the interview.  That's just how it is.

It will have several updates around the interview date as they look at your case, who knows exactly what they are doing but it is nothing to worry or get excited about. Good luck!!!
