Is it true that Morocco denys k1 visas if the man is 14 years younger than the lady

@adil-rafa can answer your question; they are very knowledgeable about the process in Morocco. They tried a K-1 in Morocco but were denied. They were ultimately successful with a IR-1.

Your Input Is Appreciated On This VJ Guide Proposal:

Not necessarily.  It is the CO's call.  They will need to have very good proof of a legitimate bona fide relationship though.  Morocco is a high fraud embassy.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

They can't deny the visa SOLELY based on age...but if in combination with other red flags, a large age difference where the woman is older than the man (in a country like Morocco where it's the cultural norm of the male being the older one) it can heighten the chance of a denial.

Morocco is high fraud and according to people on this forum you need a ton of visits so be ready to cough up the money for it. Age will definitely be an issue but there was a lady here who was older than her husband and finally overcame and got approved after like 8 years or so. Might wanna search.

OP did not say which party was older, USC?

She said the man is younger and I’m assuming she’s the US citizen.

Depends on local customs if it is a red flag or not.

Age alone cannot be a reason for refusal, but can be a consideration if the relationship is for immigration benefits alone.

According to their timeline, Hazel is the petitioner so I’m guessing the USC is older.

Although age alone won’t be a reason for denial, it could be a factor for denial if there are other issues where the CO doesn’t feel that the relationship is bona fide.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Totally agree July statements are out for July 2018 14 K1 appoved 40 CR1 and only 16 IR1 (out of the  hundreds of  interviews)

they will not say it is age (as that violates the USC rights not to be discriminated because of age or sex

what they will ask is "Can the USC still have  children" as that is suppose to be important to a Moroccan man (easy to tell from photo who the Moroccan is)

If denied that embassy never marks the 221g to tell u why a K1 is denied/ they just say denied

they do have to give a written response if spouse visa is denied

The importan't thing here is to make several face to face visits

do not marry on the 1st visit

we have the biggest age difference but it took 3 applications , an appeal (i won) and 6 years to get his visa

you need a lot of patience

a lot of face time

a lot of love to get thru this as you will need to prove a real relationship

wallah yekbel

BTW while you go thru this pay attention to the portal (above) for morocco and the embassy reviews

best to get infromation from others going thru casa embassy  for the best information

Hey- can I ask how to view the stats you are speaking about by country/ embassy please!  For example denials/ acceptance per visa type.  Thanks!

this is only my opinion so I am not saying Im right in this but I think it depends. Theres a difference between :

a 25 year old man wanting to marry a 39 year old woman

and

a 37 year old man wanting to marry a 51 year old woman

See the difference there, the first one has the same age gap as the second but in my opinion the second would be looked upon as more normal as the person would be looked as maybe more "mature" etc  than 25 to 39.

This is just my opinion, also whether the woman can have kids or not is a BIG issue. I would suggest depending on the ages to just marry, you have a better chance that way , either way its your choice and what Allah wants  no consule in the world can stop, k1 or cr1, what is meant to happen will. Good luck.
