I am lost guys and I need help. I am new here and only just found your site. My husband and I have been together for 15 years (doing the long distance thing for all of them) We filed our paperwork finally last February. We are finally approaching the finish line but now they have gone radio silent. I am lost and I am scared and I don't know what to do. Our paperwork was accepted July 15th and we are still waiting. When we started we were told it would be a 1 year process... and we are fast approaching 2 years and now have no updates or anything. He is immigrating from Canada to the US and we are waiting on the interview to be schedule from the embassy in Quebec. Can anyone please tell me whats going on ... how much longer. I have tried to be patient but I don't know how much longer I can take this.

It would help us to help you by giving a more precise timeline or filling out your visajourney timeline.

You are married I presume. You filed in...Feb 2017? When was your case approved? Did you have a delay at the NVC stage and now your case is complete?

Have you reached out to them and asked what's going on?

Ok so I have had to go back in my emails to get all the exact dates and such ... and like i said previously I am new here so most of this stuff is gibberish to me ...

USCIS Acceptance Confirmation was 3/30/17 when it was routed to Nebraska

Then our Next correspondance was not till 1/25/18 when it was Sent to the NVC That was then delayed when we found out in April that they needed a full long form Birth Certificate (husband is Canadian and only had a birth "card") which took us nearly 3 months to get back. and we finally got all information uploaded and approved by the NVC on July 15th at which time we got an email stating we were now just waiting on the Final Interview Date to be scheduled with the embassy in Montreal which is where we are stuck at. its been 2 months now since the NVC approved our paperwork and said they would be working with the embassy to set the appointment for the final interview date and nothing. How long does this part take ?

People who have a case complete (which you got in July) have received their appointment date for this coming October.  There are still a few people who had their case complete in July leftover without an interview date, but I'm assuming those people will receive a November interview date. You should be getting an email soon with your date.  Maybe a few weeks to wait yet.
