I am a little confused as when to enroll in Citizenship Classes after filing for the N-400? I see on the USCIS account it says 6 months remaining from May 2018. This makes it approximately November 2018. With the Thanksgiving Holidays and work, god know when I will have the time?

Any one has any idea when to start?

hi

first of all there is no obligation to take classes, in second place, you can do them at any time

you can find out in your city when there are citizenship classes and sign up for them

there are a lot of aps and also youtube videos about citizenship as well

you should start now because they take months for classes

As aleful mentioned, there is no need for classes. Take about 30 minutes out of your day to go through the questions about 3 times a week. You'll have it down to a tee in less than a week, interleave your practicing (e.g. don't do it for 2 weeks, then start again), it'll help you remember the questions much longer (e.g. years, if you want). You can also create a Quizlet (the app is useful). You'll have at least 1 month from the time your status changes to "interview scheduled" to when you'll actually have your interview. Even that relatively small amount of time is enough, you only need to answer 6 out of 10 questions correctly, and the reading/writing part is trivial.

Citizenship Journey:

(Month 1)-   N-400 sent: 12/20/17

(Month 2)-   Fingerprints: 01/11/18

(Month 8)-   Interview: 07/30/18

(Month 9)-   Oath Ceremony: 08/23/18

Officially a U.S. Citizen!
