For my friend case, we just submitted the sealed result.

For my parent case - I was not sure about what were submitted to USCIS back then  but during the interview at Ho Chi Minh City Consulate, they told us there was no evident to prove my mother and my grandmother relationship. So my grandmother booked ticket, then took some pictures with my family, we requested 2nd interview and they accepted the newly taken pictures as proof. It was 20 years ago so people said at that time things were much easier - we immigrated with 9 people :) in one petition.

it's just the rfe scares me because they say we have to submit the other documents even with DNA. I finally got the first application for him a bit over 3 years after he was born from his school teacher but it's not a school report just the application. the odd thing is that the school report do not contain parents names so it won't even matter but i will add that too. how long did the dna take, just did it today. they said it will get there next friday

The DNA will take 4 to 7 business to get to requested office and after the office received they scheduled the child appointment for he/her DNA,when they finished they send the samples to U.S for conducting it take 3 days to complete the conducting tests and 4 to 7 business days back to requested office again. You can get your copy from where you do your DNA test as soon as they finished.
