take ID and SS card and walk into nearest IRS office

they can print out a transcrpt for u

My accountant told me they wont give me anything. They will direct me to either call a 1800 or use the net.

Should I still try? Maybe offices are different.

It only says 10 days but for me 2 times I requested my tax transcript last 2015 and I received it for 6 days only. Last Aug.2018 I need the tax transcript and I received it for 7 days only. Time runs so fast without knowing it.

Thank you and have a great weekend!

The problem with using 1040 and w2s is it doesnt prove you actually filed your taxes only that you filled out a paper.

If you dont want to wait or cant access the site, submit what you have and if it bounces back at NVC or consulate you will have the transcripts by then anyway.

That s my plan. I am trying to control the speed of what I can control and let the rest be. We lived in Potomac for 10 months lol.

Thank you. You are so right; High security measures are set in place. I must have left something out. The most annoying thing is the fact that I am locked out for 24 hours. I will try again tonight. I ordered them to be mailed and hope it won t take all 10 days.

Not really, imagine someone stealing your private info, would that be annoying?

Hi all,

Anyone downloaded Tax transcripts online?

The IRS system keeps rejecting my online inquiry.

Now, I ordered them to be mailed. They say 10 days;

A major delay for me, but is there another option to get them sooner?

Also, are the transcripts necessary or the Returns, W2', pay stubs and Employer Letter can do???

Thank you,

Hey there! I just requested them by mail because the online system did the same thing to me. I requested them Saturday and received 2 of them yesterday (Thursday). It definitely doesn't take 10 days (and I'm in California). I am waiting on one more for my joint sponsor and 3 for me and I believe I ordered those on Sunday, so I am hoping to get them by today if I'm lucky.

You can call IRS and they will fax your transcript to you but you have to be at a fax machine to receive it while they are in the line. That is for security reasons. Hope this helps.

800-849-1040

Press 1 for English, then press 2 for Personal Income Taxes, and then push 1, then 3, then 2, when it asks for your social security number do not press anything (it will ask twice, let it play through),  then press 2 and wait for an agent.

Yes. Same day, but you have to be at a fax machine to receive it while the agent is on the phone. They have to confirm that is is you who is receiving it. Keep in mind that the wait to reach an agent may be around 30 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day. Best of luck.
