NVC Tax Transcripts

Hi all,

Anyone downloaded Tax transcripts online?

 

The IRS system keeps rejecting my online inquiry.

Now, I ordered them to be mailed. They say 10 days;

 

A major delay for me, but is there another option to get them sooner?

 

Also, are the transcripts necessary or the Returns, W2', pay stubs and Employer Letter can do???

The fast option is to get it online but it is kind of highly secured website so if you do not have all the correct info, it will not let you download the electronic version.  So traditional mail is your only option now.

 

They (1040 + W2 + Pay + etc.) can substitute for tax transcripts (at least for Ho Chi Minh City), many people I knew but I did not help their cases have not known/used tax transcripts. 

 

The funny case I saw when I was in Vietnam last year, the man had like 4-5kg of tax return paperwork, his petitioner is a big business owner in US  they hired lawyer and they did not use tax transcript option.

Thank you. You are so right; High security measures are set in place. I must have left something out. The most annoying thing is the fact that I am locked out for 24 hours. I will try again tonight. I ordered them to be mailed and hope it won t take all 10 days.

Transcripts are more convenient if you can get them, but you can provide the returns, relevant W2's, etc. in the absence of a transcript. I submitted 3 years worth of tax filings. For 2015 and 2016, I provided tax transcripts. For 2017 I couldn't provide the transcript because it wasn't available yet, so I provided the return and appropriate accompanying documents. No problems.

It all went through fine? I will submit Tax returns, W2 s, Pay stubs and employment letter. I will submit the transcripts when I receive them via mail.

I am submitting electronically, and I noticed most don t get CC til weeks later. I think my plan should work. Thank you

Worked fine for me. The return and the transcript both have all the information they need. So give them what you have available.

If you filed with places like Jackson Hewitt, HR Block; you can get it from their website, not sure if that applies to your situation.

Unfortunately not. I see you are dealing with the same consulate. Are you submitting everything electronically? I ask because some have mentioned it is relatively new for Morocco and that certain Documents must be mailed instead of uploaded. Thanks

Unfortunately, I do not know, I am in the very early stages of the K1 process. I am sure one of the more seasoned Morocco contributors will help you further. Good luck in your interview, which you the best. @Adil & Jeanne

Adil&Jeanne is/are my mentor(s) here lol; They are the best.

They have helped me a lot, but I also ask here for more opinions.

It is a very challenging Journey and I try to hear more opinions as the laws/rules have been

changing recently.  Thank you

Lol, ofcourse I understand wanting more opinions, I totally get that. She is great from what I can see on these boards, best of luck sweety and yes going to your nearest IRS office is the best way, duh I didn't think of that.

I did all 3 years this way

the man said i could only have 1 copy of each year per day so i said "i will be back tomorrow to get a copy for myself"

and he then gave me 2 copies of all 3 years

 

BTW they use to stamp them with offical IRS time stamp and they don't do that anymore

It only says 10 days but for me 2 times I requested my tax transcript last 2015 and I received it for 6 days only. Last Aug.2018 I need the tax transcript and I received it for 7 days only. Time runs so fast without knowing it.
