Thank you guys.  So it looks like a few weeks less than 1 full year before they schedule an interview.  Hopefully mine will be a little quicker, but I don't expect much better.

I am with you on that. Hopefully the process is faster. I am schedule to leave to bootcamp for the military in May. I was hoping to get naturalized before I left. But from what I am seeing from you guys, it is not going to happen. Lol

The Military based applications can go through much more quickly.  You may need to get someone in your chain of command to inform USCIS that they want it processed before May.  I recall there was someone, maybe a June filer in Arizona (not sure), but they had his N400 done in 2 months or so.  From memory he was due to go on deployment, so that may be a stronger factor for speeding things up.

Yes, I have looked into that. 
 

Unfortunately, the only reason they would expedite it is if I was scheduled for an assignment outside of the US. Training for domestic assignments do not count towards the expedite criteria. 
 

I have however heard that USCIS tends to process military naturalizations faster. Not sure how accurate or true this might be though.

yey again wish me luck people, finally i got the date for the interview, and  it will be on feb, 24, 2021,,

i haven't receive yet official letter from them but i seen in my USCIS account (document),,i am super nervous now,,and need to study for civic test

Hello everyone. I received my paper receipt notice in the mail today. Case status still shows "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" since 1/13/21. My estimated completion shows September 2021. Wish you all some fast movement.

I called USCIS today to check on the status of my N-400 and was told that my file was already at the San Bernardino office. 

 

I applied barely a month ago, so I thought this was pretty fast. Anyone here know if their file is already at the local office? Or how long it took for your file to be transferred to the local office?

Yes, I filed last month.

 

And yes, I agree that was pretty fast. From seeing other people's timelines I was expecting to wait longer. I was shocked when I saw that "Interview Scheduled" case status. 

 

I am assuming that it is because I applied based on military service. Also, I went to get my biometrics done the day after I applied. So I am sure this helped speed things up.

Military is much faster than regular process.  Seeing you have your interview notice but I don't yet have mine, I can assume my interview will be after March 30th.  Back to waiting.

horay, i finally done and pass the interviews. 

for you guys that still waiting the interviews good luck okey,

my interviews at 9.45 am, i came 9.15 am, and enter the building, 9;30 am, dont come too early, otherwise they will send u back, 

after pass trough security checking, proceed to 2nd floor. 

at 2nd floor, i checking in with the receptionist. wait only 10 minute, another officer call my name, and he said just follow me, 😁

in his office he please me to seat down, and ask me the ID.GC and passport,  

and he ask me to open the face mask to verify that is you, 

after that. 

he ask me to stand up and take oat for the truth, 

and then, going to civic test, 

1. what is the first amandement 

2. what war in 1900

3. if president no longer to serve, who will serve

4, us territories

5. how many US senator

6. how many years us senator elected

reading :: who can vote

writting. citizen can vote

he said to me, i am pass for the civic test and continue with the application, 

this process only review what you have answer in the application, 

after reviewing, he said to conggratulation he recommend me to be approval 

before i am leaving, he said just go down for oat ceremony,  hope the system not down so u can take oat the same days, 

i went down, and in that room already 6 people are waiting, 

after 30 minute waiting, she told me, the system stll down, so the oat ceremony will be on drive trough, for some they got on march but for me, probably in april, 

 

note: i apply for us citizenships base on 5 years rule,

i notice for some applicant, they able to see the schedule for oat ceremony which is at the end of march, drive trough only

but for me, the officer said, she didn't see my name on it :(😩 so

i haven't got the schedule yet, but i checked in my account, it said is been schedule for oat ceremony and wait official letter to come in mail. 😁
